The pandemic changed my life, it happened during my senior year of highschool. I was used to the school routine of getting up early in the morning, going to classes at specific times and coming home at a certain time. This provided a sense of normalcy in my life. The predictability of knowing that third period math class follows second period history class allowed my brain to focus on academic content. When the pandemic hit and school closed , I lost this structure and routine. I was sent home with a lot of assignments to complete but it was up to me to decide when and in what order I will do the assignments. At first, this freedom and choice felt good because i got to decide what I wanted to do without any teacher controlling me. It was easy for me to fall behind, to be distracted by social media and I got bored. I was always on tiktok ,instagram making videos. There were some viral staying home challenges going for soccer players ,I was mostly participating in those like the keepie-uppie challenge also known as toilet paper challenge. All you need is to record yourself juggling a toilet roll until your talent runs out. Then you’d have to post it on your instagram story and tag friends you want to challenge. This was a good way to spend time alone and interact with my friends. But it also kept me from doing school work ,because I was not used to the remote program. It was during my senior year which was typically the high point of my high school career. My gpa and grades dropped like the Titanic.I was worried about being able to graduate. But thanks god i was able to bounce back and everything went fine and i also graduated and here i am in my second of college. The picture posted is me doing the stay challenge on instagram
